In just under two weeks, FC Bayern will play against PSG in the Champions League. Both teams want to use their best players in the round of 16, but there is now a big question mark with Paris superstar Mbappe. The striker is probably out due to an injury.

Kylian Mbappé will probably miss the Champions League duel with Bayern. The Paris Saint-Germain star suffered a hamstring injury in Tuesday night’s game against HSC Montpellier (3-1) and had to be taken off injured.

While PSG coach Christophe Galtier gave the all-clear immediately after the game, the French “L’Equipe” reported that the 24-year-old is in danger of missing the round of 16 first leg in the Champions League against FC Bayern on February 14. The club announced the diagnosis. Estimated Downtime: Three weeks.

Mbappe was injured in the 19th minute after a tackle from Montpellier defender Leo Leroy. The Frenchman twisted his leg and was substituted on the pitch after a brief break in treatment.

When walking into the dressing room, Mbappe repeatedly grabbed his left thigh and emphasized to the supervisors that he was in “great pain”.

To make matters worse, PSG defense boss Sergio Ramos had to leave a short time later. According to “L’Equipe” information, the Spaniard complained of groin problems.

After the game, Paris coach Christophe Galtier gave Mbappe and Ramos a slight all-clear: “We think it’s not bad. The players don’t want to take any risks, but it doesn’t seem very serious.”

For the second leg against Bayern on March 8, Mbappé would be available to his team again.
