Press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov commented on the negative slogans against the Federal government, chanted by the residents of the Khabarovsk territory, protesting against the dismissal and arrest of the head of the region Sergey Furgala.

According to Peskov, the anti-Moscow slogans are “individuals” from among the opposition, who are trying to use the protests for political purposes.

“Now, I know this is a fashion trend for the representatives of a quasi-opposition, which is not averse there is a little noise, try a little to earn some points on this situation,” – quoted Peskov “Medusa” in his telegram channel.

Speaking about the protests in General, Peskov called the discontent of Khabarovsk “an acute emotional reaction”. Furgal was popular among the locals, but it was “unusual, extraordinary situation”, in which he was arrested and removed from office.
