The Deputy head of the Ministry of defense of the Russian Federation Alexander Fomin said Friday that during a long period of time the United States carried out a consistent policy of denying its obligations in the sphere of arms control to provide the conditions for military dominance. In response to this statement, the state Department spokesman said the United States continues to advocate the creation of an effective international system for weapons control.
"If the U.S. is going to participate in arms control, they would consistently did not come from the number of treaties such as the INF Treaty (Treaty on elimination of intermediate-range and shorter-range). The MP stressed that, quite possibly, to the INF Treaty could join other States in addition to Russia and the United States, but the United States withdrew from the Treaty unilaterally.

In his statement, the representative of the state Department expressed the view that if China "wants to be a responsible power," he should join the agreements of the US and Russia, explaining that in accordance with the Treaty on the nonproliferation of nuclear weapons China is obliged to pursue negotiations on effective measures leading to nuclear disarmament.
Earlier, the US administration at trump at different levels underlined the need for the inclusion of China in the negotiation of a new trilateral nuclear agreement between Russia, China and the United States. In Beijing, this idea is rejected.
In turn, the Deputy head of the Ministry of defense of the Russian Federation Alexander Fomin called the words of the former adviser of the US President for homeland security John Bolton on the increasing threats from China "banal distortion of facts".
"with regard to accession to the agreement of the Chinese side, a very interesting question. Like the US cares about the security of the whole world, but, on the other hand, they put forward the conditions for other countries, it’s possible not very acceptable. These terms sound like an ultimatum, as a kind of sanction, which the US dropped literally around the world. This is unacceptable," said Krasov.
The MP noted that at the conclusion of the agreements should be a dialogue, and the US shy away from this dialogue and "prefer to do a monologue".
"We’re not going that way to build relationships with the USA and China, I think, is also against such a relationship, when we impose in the form of an ultimatum," concluded Krasov.
