The project "Sea launch" without government support will not reach self-sufficiency even in the optimistic scenario – high demand for launch services, according to the materials experts "Rosatom", compiled by courtesy of "Roskosmos" data that was read by RIA Novosti.

Earlier it was reported about a possible purchase of the complex by the state Corporation "Rosatom".

The Department of management of investment activities and management support to new businesses to the state Corporation "Rosatom" when considering the future of buying complex, made up of five scenarios for the reopening of the complex. The yield on the return is only possible in two scenarios that have different levels of support, and 11.8 billion rubles (or 13% of the required investment for the reopening of the complex) and 72 billion (or 79% of the necessary investment).

Earlier it became known that the "Rosatom" estimates the cost to restore the complex to 84 billion rubles in prices of 2020, or 91 billion rubles in the forecast prices adjusted for inflation. The purchase price of the complex is estimated at 11 billion rubles.

The project "Sea launch" established in 1995 for the operation of space-rocket complex sea-based. In 2016 S7 Group has announced the signing of a contract with the group of companies Sea Launch (subsidiary of RKK "Energy" is a state Corporation "Roskosmos") providing for the purchase of the property complex of the project "Sea launch".

In March 2020, the complex received preliminary approval from the U.S. state Department, was transferred to Russia.
