Authorities said That the other driver would be charged with intoxication murderer and three counts each of aggravated assault.

According to reports, a Texas off-duty officer was killed in an accident and three relatives were hurt in a suspected DUI collision in Tarrant County.

Detective Alejandro “Alex” Cervantes, of the Euless Police Dept was identified as the officer.

According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, one adult with injuries was admitted to John Peter Smith Hospital in critical condition. Two children were treated at Cook Children’s Medical Center for severe injuries.

According to Euless police, the family was on their way to Lake Worth’s Rocky Point Trail and Boat Club Road when they were struck by a Jeep Wrangler.

Dylan Molina (26), Lake Worth was the driver of the Wrangler. Authorities said he was likely to face charges of intoxication manslaughter as well as three counts each of aggravated assault.

According to the Euless police statement, Molina’s vehicle ran a red light before the crash and witnesses said that he attempted to flee on foot.

According to FOX 4 reporter David Sentendrey, the suspect was allegedly drinking at Lake Worth’s tavern before the crash. He also shared this information via Twitter.

Sentendrey reported that Molina was speeding home and struck the car of an off-duty officer.

According to the Euless police statement, Cervantes was with the Euless Police Department more than six years. He also previously served with El Paso Police Department.
