Russian and German scientists have decoded the full genome of Neanderthals that lived 80 thousand years ago in Jagerskog cave in the Altai. This was done due to the bone fragment from the finger.

The remains were found in 2011 belonged to the girl whose parents belong to different subspecies of the old people — father Denisova and Neandertals. Each site obtained the genome has been read 27 times which allows to obtain reliable results, reported in the Institute of archaeology and Ethnography.Gene phalanx of Altai compared with the earlier sample of a Neanderthal from Denisov cave, located a hundred kilometers from Zagurskas. This made evident the kinship of the Altai neandertalci both with European and Asian representatives of the species. However zagurski Neanderthal were genetically closer to European.

Apparently chagyrskaya population has arrived to Altai from the European mainland about 80 thousand years ago. By that time there already were the denisovans, and they had to interbreed the first, more ancient migration wave of the Neanderthals. By the time the second wave from the first is likely no one left.

Chagyrskaya population had less than 60 people and held in isolation. At the same time, the denisovans and ancient people and modern physical appearance, called Homo sapiens, lived in large groups.

On Altai the Parking of Neanderthals found in three caves: named after A. P. Okladnikova, Scary and Jagerskog.

Before the discovery of Neanderthals in Altai, the Eastern settlement was recorded on the Northern outskirts of Volgograd in the town of Dry Mechetka. There, according to the Dating of ancient people lived about 39 thousand years ago.
