Seattle only made the playoffs in the last move and even lost both direct duels with the Niners in the regular season. So the signs were clear. It smelled like a sensation at the start of the playoffs.

The second half turned out to be a disaster for the Seahawks. Except for a late touchdown, when the game was already decided, Head Coach Pete Carroll’s team didn’t get a single further point on the scoreboard. In return, Seattle is overrun by the Niners.

With a touchdown in the third quarter, the home side took the lead again, but then things got brutal in the last quarter. First quarterback Geno Smith loses the ball and the Niners conquer the game device. The following drive then lands in the end zone in the arms of running back Elijah Mitchell.

The highlight of the game followed with Deebo Samuel’s 74-yard touchdown. The stadium in the bay trembled. Moments later, the Niners have the ball again when a pass from Smith is intercepted by cornerback Deommodore Lenoir.

A late touchdown by DK Metcalf, his second of the day, wasn’t enough. The Niners won clearly with 41:23 and can continue to dream of the Super Bowl. It was a disaster for the Seahawks.
