Russian Amateur radio got a signal from the Iranian satellite

Russian Amateur radio operator Dmitry Pashkov told RIA Novosti that he was able to get a signal from the first military satellite of Iran, based on the signal structure, the expert assumes that the transmitting device spacecraft similarly produced in China and Europe.

"I not only received a signal, but took it in "cheese", that is, the telemetry (status information systems of the satellite – ed.) until the bit is decoded. If you suffer, you can translate that transmits the satellite-specific parameters", – said Pashkov Agency.

According to him, the biggest surprise for him was the fact that the signal is at a frequency of 400 MHz with FSK modulation. Thus, the transmitting module of the Iranian satellite is similar to the devices produced, for example, in China and Europe.

This equipment is for many small commercial satellites, including student devices – the so-called koltatech.

"Judging by the picture of the emblem of the apparatus, shown in the video start, is a simple 6U cubesat with dimensions 20×30 cm", – said Pashkov.

He also believes that due to the fact that the signal from the device is unstable, most likely, the satellite rotates until it is stable, will not start to work. Thereafter, for data transmission from the satellite, said radio Amateur to be involved, a higher speed communication channel with Earth.

On Wednesday morning, the Iranian military successfully, at their request, they brought the first military satellite, "Nur" ("Light") for the 425-kilometer orbit by launching it with a rocket "Cased" ("Messenger"). Prior to that, Iran maneuvered into orbit civilian satellites.
