Gronkowski will be an unrestricted, free agent in March

Tampa Bay Buccaneers close end Rob Gronkowski stated Friday that he believes NFL great Tom Brady would return to the league within “a few years.”

USA TODAY Sports spoke to Brady on Friday. He is a former teammate and four time Super Bowl champion. Brady believes Brady’s eventual retirement is temporary.

Gronkowski, 32-year-old , said that “the guy can play at every age.” He can come back even if he is 50 years old. He will return, but it may be a few years. He’s a true beast. He is a beast.

Officially , Brady announced his retirement at month’s beginning after 22 seasons and seven Super Bowl victories.

The 44-year-old stated in a statement that “this is difficult for me write but here it goes: It’s not going to be a competitive commitment anymore.” “I’ve loved my NFL career, and it’s time to concentrate my energy on other matters that require my attention.”

Gronkowski himself retired in the 2019 season, but returned to Tampa in 2020 with Brady.

Two touchdowns were scored by Gronkowski and Brady in Super Bowl , a victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.

Gronkowski – will be an unrestricted, free agent in march – signed an one-year contract with last March’s Buccaneers.

In his 143 career regular season games, he has 621 catches and 9,286 yards.

Brady and Gronkowski have the most touchdowns as a quarterback-receiver combination in playoff history.

He is not yet certain what he will do next. He previously stated to Fox News Digital that it would take him a few weeks before he decides.

You just need to relax, let it all out and then make a decision in a few weeks. You can see how I feel and what you think. Although it will be a slow process, I am going to take my time. Gronkowski said that we will see what happens, as anything could happen.

He told USA TODAY Sport, “I’ll figure everything out in the future.” Let everything unfold, then make a move. So, I am just relaxing, letting go of my body, having fun, and letting it heal.

Gronkowski was told by his brother in September he couldn’t imagine him playing with another quarterback.
