Professional cyclists, unfortunately, often challenges with drivers on the roads.

the Latest example is Sondre Holst Enger from the Danish team Riwal Readynez. As if there are accidents enough, he says to TV2 Norway, that a motorist Saturday even intentionally tried to run him and his three team-mates down.

“It was clearly on purpose. We saw through the rear window, he showed us a finger and pointed towards the pavement. He pointed to the right to show that we had to drive on the sidewalk. He was clearly very sour,” says Sondre Holst Enger.

He and seemingly several other people experience it as a love from the drivers, so he fears the worst.

“As a cyclist I am used to it. It happens often, and it’s not just for me. There are many cyclists who have a history of drivers who have been about to run them down or run them down. It is really quite insanely, that they hate us so much, that they are liable to kill us in traffic,” adds Sondre Holst Enger.

After his experience Saturday racing cyclist posted a picture on Instagram, where he expresses joy at to be unharmed.

“Grateful, that I lie here,” commenced he tells the story of a 50-year-old cyclist on Friday not had the same ‘luck’ and died of an accident.

According to Sondre Holst Enger, it happens everywhere in Norway with drivers, which does not take into account, and he hopes that history can lead to a more safe behaviour on the roads.
