RB party: On his day off, Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann watched the DFB Cup final between RB Leipzig and SC Freiburg (4-2 on penalties) live at Berlin’s Olympiastation on Saturday. The 34-year-old was then seen at the lawn ball athletes’ winner’s party to congratulate him, as reported by “Sport 1” on TV.
Right in the middle: Nagelsmann can be seen in the picture in conversation with RB Managing Director Oliver Mintzlaff. The two have been connected since their time together in Leipzig and after Nagelsmann’s departure to FC Bayern they were not divorced, as these photos also show. The Bayern coach trained Leipzig from 2019 to 2021.
No problem with Bayern: Bayern’s sports director Hasan Salihamidzic does not object to the action of celebrating with the competitor. When asked about it in a one-two at “Sport 1”, the 45-year-old said: “Absolutely, he knows everyone there – we also talked about it beforehand. He got the leave. I couldn’t go to the final myself. I don’t think he held any transfer talks in Berlin.” According to eyewitness reports, Nagelsmann didn’t stay long, as Leipzig confirmed on Sunday.
