Surprise at RTL: As the Cologne broadcaster announced on Wednesday afternoon, the services of the two TV lawyers Barbara Salesch and Ulrich Wetzel were secured in order to produce a program with both of them. The planning of the two formats seems to be still in its infancy, because neither the broadcast nor the titles of both formats are certain at the moment, as RTL confirmed.Barbara Salesch once triggered the successful era of court shows in the daily program of some private channels on Sat.1 . filmpool produced over 2,000 programs between 1999 and 2012. Salesch had since turned away from the law and is artistically active. Now RTL was able to convince her of a comeback.
Although Ulrich Wetzel’s court show “The Criminal Court” died in 2008, the lawyer, who most recently served as director of the district court in Seligenstatt, can still be seen in the RTL program today. The niche channel RTL Up shows three repeats of the former RTL afternoon show every day from 5:40 p.m. until prime time. In the afternoon, “The Family Court” will also be shown there.
