If Christine Lambrecht remains in the cabinet as defense minister, only the opposition will be happy. Her son has since removed the tragic helicopter photos from the internet and blocked them, but that doesn’t do much to limit the damage.

We sometimes play “Who is the stupidest person of the month?” with friends. In May there is a clear winner: Alexander Lambrecht, the son of Defense Minister Christine Lambrecht. Out of high spirits, the 21-year-old youth circulated a photo of himself via Instagram on the internet, showing him in a federal government helicopter.

With this vanity attack he got his mother into trouble on several occasions. The public’s attention has been drawn to the fact that the minister has twice taken her junior on official trips in Defense Ministry aircraft.

On this occasion, several media outlets dealt intensively with the minister’s performance and unanimously came to devastating judgments.

She has no idea about her department, learns little in the Bundeswehr and internationally and is comfortable to lazy. At best, she develops conspicuous energy to place comrades in positions in the ministry.

At the latest after reading this research, Chancellor Olaf Scholz must recognize that he made a serious mistake in appointing this woman.

Observers are puzzled as to whether he followed an urgent recommendation from the SPD leadership or whether he suffers from a lack of knowledge of human nature.

If Lambrecht stays in the cabinet, only the opposition will be happy. Her son has since removed the tragic helicopter photos from the internet and blocked them, but that doesn’t do much to limit the damage. His mother defends herself that taking her son with her is legally correct. She duly paid 150 euros for the trip. The price is ridiculous, the action remains instinctive.

We have never heard that the former Minister of Defense, Ursula von der Leyen, had her seven children transported by the Bundeswehr.

German poets and writers should be happy to be rid of him. Its president, Deniz Yücel, resigned from their association with a stench of sulfur. After being voted out by a vote of 73 to 75, he yelled into the microphone that he didn’t want to be “president of this bratwurst joint” and resigned.

With the mass insult “Bratwurstbude” he defamed the approximately 770 members of the German branch of the international writers’ association PEN (poets, essayists, novelists).

Most of them are superior to Yücel in terms of creativity, intellect and literary achievements. The fact that they chose the often rude journalist as their president may be due to the fact that they only get superficial information in their ivory towers.

They knew that he had been in custody in Turkey for a year and were proud of a resistance fighter at their head. They chose a freedom hero and got a language proletarian. Very few had read that Yücel celebrated the fall of Germany. He wrote mockingly: “The imminent departure of the Germans is the death of the peoples at its best.” He wished his opponent Thilo Sarrazin an even more severe stroke in the future.
