Johnny Depp was apparently calm himself before the verdict in the Amber Heard trial last night. He treated himself to a beer and fish with friends

Johnny Depp (58) walked into an English pub with a few buddies before yesterday’s verdict in the multi-million dollar defamation trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard (36), as reported by the British “Mirror”.

Together with his musician friends Jeff Beck (77) and Sam Fender (28), Depp visited a pub in Newcastle, disguised with a cap and sunglasses. A video shows him shaking hands with fans as he passes by. The pub’s owner, Janine Latchford, couldn’t help but rhapsodize after Johnny Depp’s unannounced visit: “He was the nicest person I’ve met in my life. He was very polite and friendly to everyone. He is without a doubt the most famous person that has ever been in our pub.”

According to Latchford, the Hollywood star behaved “very discreetly” during his two-hour visit to the pub. “That way he could order his food in peace and we were able to shield him a bit before the crowds arrived.”

Depp only left the pub shortly before the verdict was announced to join live via zoom call. A little later, Amber Heard was found guilty. She now has to pay her ex around 15 million euros in damages – but Depp also has to pay.

After the verdict was announced, Depp is said to have continued partying in another pub in Newcastle. The Hollywood star is currently touring through England with musician Beck.
