A clarification about the conduct of the CHAMPIONSHIPS in the road race takes place at the latest at the beginning of next week.

the Danish Cycling Union announces that a clarification on the conduct of the DM on the road follow as soon as possible. Maybe in the next few days, and no later than the beginning of next week.

It tells the head of communications in DCU Morten Anderson.

– We have meetings with the different parties these days, but maybe we can first hold the last meeting at the beginning of next week, says Morten Anderson.

the Union is awaiting among other things a definition of how the prohibition against “large gatherings” should be understood in the sportssammenhæng, and what The International Cykelunion (UCI) is set to.

It happens after the prime minister Mette Frederiksen’s announcements on Monday.

– We are in dialogue with the Danish sports confederation (DIF), which is in further dialogue with the authorities and the government in relation to what large gatherings covers in sportssammenhæng.

– The second thing is that we also need to have feedback from the UCI, for the winding-up of the national championships is not an isolated Danish problem, says Morten Anderson.

The national championships are settled mainly within the same week. But some nations are significantly harder hit by the virusudbruddet than Denmark, and therefore it can according to kommunikationschefen end up with the UCI choose to move mesterskabsafviklingen general for later in the year.

– If you move the championships in the rest of the world, it will of course be nearby, if we follow it.

– However, if the UCI just opens up, it is an opportunity for the individual federations to move the championship and indemnifies some dates to it, we must decide whether we will it and it will happen, taking into account the guidelines from the Danish authorities, says Morten Anderson.

this Year’s DM is kalendersat from 18. 21. June and to run around.
