The introduction of a hyperloop that can travel times between Amsterdam and the cities of Brussels, Düsseldorf and Duisburg, can be shorten to less than thirty minutes. That is, in a fact-finding investigation, which was commissioned by the Dutch province of Noord-Holland.

This is the so-called hyperloop, a maglev system in a luchtdrukbuis, people, and goods with an extremely high speed, up to 1000 kilometres per hour can be transported. The concept was introduced in 2012 by Tesla’s ceo Elon Musk, and since 2016, it have been further developed by the Dutch Cure Hyperloop.

“We know that people are willing to work door-to-door, up to one hour of travel,” says the executive, Jeroen Olthof, the province of Noord-Holland. “With a super-fast hyperloop will respond within that time, a much larger living-working distances to travel. Well, that sounds promising. That’s why we’re consulting with other governments and stakeholders to use this research to move forward.” Important economic areas such as the Ruhr area cities of Düsseldorf and Duisburg, are door-to-door within an hour to get to it.“So now living and working distances in a very different perspective,” says the department.

The hyperloop could also be a short-haul flight, replace it, making it, according to the researchers ‘ room at an airport like amsterdam Schiphol airport for a long (long) haul flights. The county faces over the next period of time, with the other parties, there is still more research has to come from the arrival of the high-speed rail.
