Local authorities boarded United Flight when it landed at London.

A passenger on United Airlines was accused of raping another passenger while on a flight from London to London.

The overnight flight left New Jersey’s Newark Liberty International Airport on January 30th and arrived in London at Heathrow Airport the next day.

According to The Sun the victim was allegedly forced to have sex by a British passenger aged 40 who is yet to be identified.

According to reports, the victim was a British woman aged 40 who told her cabin crew about the incident. They immediately called authorities.

FOX Business was informed by United Airlines that crew members called ahead and notified local authorities immediately they learned of the allegations.

According to the outlet, both passengers were unknown and sat in separate rows in first-class. The Sun was told by an unidentified source that both passengers had been drinking in a lounge earlier.

According to reports, Metropolitan Police officers boarded the plane upon landing in London on January 31st and arrested the passenger for rape.

Officers carried out an investigation in the cabin of the aircraft while the man was being taken to Heathrow Police Station for a mugshot and DNA collection.

According to the outlet, the man was released later, but the investigation continues.

The Sun was informed by the Metropolitan Police that they had confirmed the arrest.

United stated that it would cooperate with law enforcement in any investigation.
