again Till Lindemann (57) makes headlines. Recently, there was speculation that the Rammstein singer was infected with the Coronavirus, and the hospital is located. Shortly thereafter, he reported himself to the word and gave the all-clear.

Now, Lindemann provides – of more frequently because of violent representation has been criticized in his Songs – again for excitement. This time it’s a poem. In the latest book with his works on “100 poems” writes the poet about violence, love and Sex. However, in the Text “When you sleep” it appears to be a rape fantasy.

Here it is: “sleep with you when you’re dreaming/ Because you Can move everything here, miss/ And that’s exactly how is that supposed to be (the be to/ makes Fun of)/ a Little Rohypnol in the wine (some Rohypnol into your glass)/ for nothing.”

The responses to the poem could not be more different. Many criticize Lindemann for his Text. Literary critic Carsten Otte writes in a comment on the page of the “SWR”: “A rape fantasy, as in the book. A paper brought a criminal Offence.” He asks: “Is this still poetry or a criminal offence?”

The poem is referred to as “disgusting”.

And rapper Lady Bitch Ray (39) tweeted: “The rape-glorifying poem by Lindemann shows again that sexism, sexual violence and Rape Culture are not only in the Hip-Hop-existent. I’ll buy someone a F*** that people justify something with the freedom of art, Entertainment and Lyrical I am.”

The book with the poem is published by Kiepenheuer & Witsch Verlag. There is also the column writer Sibylle Berg (57) appears. She writes again: “I have books with tons of dead” and asks: “Is the call to murder?”

another User argues in a similar way. Those who get upset about Lindemann, have read the “50 Shades of Grey” or “Game of Thrones”. “There is in fact raped and also around a bit and the books were still on the pyre.” And in another place: “If art can’t shock, then it is not art.”

Kiwi-Verlag defended Lindemann-factory

The Kiwi publishing house took a position on the allegations and stands by the work of his author. You should separate the content of the poem and author Till Lindemann from the “Person” Till Lindemann: “The moral indignation about the Text of this poem is based on a confusion of the fictional speaker, the so-called “lyrical I” with the author Till Lindemann.” Further, it means: “the depicted in the poem process is the moral point of view utterly reprehensible, is a matter of course, and allowed no personal defamation of the author.”

Till Lindemann has not commented to the whole discussion. That his poem is all the rage, he managed, however, without any doubt. (paf)
