The Museum told about the isolation of Mayakovsky

Russian poet and playwright Vladimir Mayakovsky had experience of self-isolation. In addition, he was distinguished by cleanliness. This was reported in the State Museum of Mayakovsky.

According to experts, the isolation of the poet lasted exactly two months.

“Since December 28, 1922 to February 28, 1923 he deal with Lily Brik was released only in the editor, and the rest of the time sitting at home. <...> The result, however, was worth it: a brilliant poem “About it”, – RIA Novosti reports the words of the researcher of the Museum of Galina Antipova.

“His father died from a blood infection, bruising finger. This memory and fear remained with the poet for life,” – told in the Museum.

According to Antipova, it is unknown how the poet responded to the current world situation with a pandemic coronavirus. In this context, a new meaning to acquire a line written by Mayakovsky: “Walk the one hundred millionth the mass, <...> in a hundred million masks.”
