In the capital’s Department of culture told about the creation of the project “Online. Bibliovore”, informs a portal of the mayor and government of Moscow.

“the site has collected an extensive collection of books and other materials from the collections of libraries and cultural centers. There are sections with videos and live broadcasts. They can watch lectures, performances, concerts, literary readings and reviews,” – said the Deputy mayor of Moscow, Natalia Sergunina.

the press service of the Ministry reminded that city libraries have a portal “Bibliovore”. It focuses all the information relating to events, locations and mode of operation of the capital’s cultural institutions.

“right Now, cultural institutions are closed to the public, but continue to work and prepare different programs for the Internet users. That’s why we decided to create the project “Online. Bibliovore”. No longer need to go to sites, social pages and YouTube channels of institutions to find, for example, video lectures or master classes”, – said the press service.

part of the Internet project included four sections. In particular, in the “Electronic resources” Muscovites will be able to find over 20 sites that host the electronic editions and audio books. To access the portals, you need to register.

The “Electronic resources” investigators will be able to find digitized collections of some libraries. So, the Central universal scientific library named after N. A. Nekrasov has opened access to publications 1564-2001 years. Among them are both, scientific literature and magazines, and art books.

For music fans in the section prepared by the archive of the Moscow electronic music library which was a place for more than a thousand musical works of famous composers. Also “Electronic resources” open access resources public libraries of St. Petersburg.

Also, visitors can take advantage of section “Book recommendations”. Wishing it will tell you what books are worth reading, depending on the interests and age category.

In the section “Video” there are various videos on the history of culture and the cultural life of Russia. Visitors can also read the content YouTube-channel libraries and cultural centres.

the Opening section of “Online activity” will find live broadcasts of various workshops, classes, sections and groups, lectures, exhibitions and video reviews. In particular, 10 April at 18:00 on the portal will start showing a virtual tour of the Academic area. And 11 APR at 13:00 will be a lecture devoted to the Soviet comics.

In connection with the pandemic coronavirus in Moscow was closed to all the capital’s cultural institutions. They transferred their activity in virtual reality. In particular, the museums of Moscow are planning to hold online exhibitions dedicated to Day of Astronautics.
