The finalists of the competition “Leaders of digital transformation” were determined in the capital. The final stage will be held from November 4 to 7 in an online format. Applicants for the Moscow Mayor’s Awards solve tasks aimed at improving the urban environment.

He noted that 465 teams took part in the main stage of the competition. 86 of them reached the final, and now they have to finalize their decisions and submit them to the expert jury. 10 teams that will create the best IT products will receive one million rubles each.

The most popular was the competitive task of creating a recommendation system for users of metropolitan libraries, which should contain the history of books read by Muscovites and recommend a personal selection of literature based on them. 99 teams tried to solve it. Another popular task is the development of an interactive map of the sports infrastructure of the capital with filters for each sport and recommendations for the development of the infrastructure of each district. More than 60 teams worked on it.

Several tasks of the competition are related to the support of small and medium-sized businesses. For example, to create a personalized recommendation service offering startups support measures from the Moscow Government, private and public corporations, accelerators and venture funds.

Last year, the competition “Leaders of Digital Transformation” was held in the format of a 48-hour online hackathon. The developers created services and digital solutions for 10 urgent tasks. Then 357 teams from 76 regions of Russia participated in the competition. The winners were 48 developers from 10 teams.

Following the results of last year’s competition, several of the best solutions were tested at the sites of city structures and received positive ratings and recommendations for implementation.
