Zelensky is discussing with Russia the exchange of prisoners

The President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky said about the discussion with Russia of the exchange of prisoners in the show “Freedom of speech Savik Shuster”. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

“We want to convert those people who are either in the Crimea or in the territory of the Russian Federation”, — said the Ukrainian leader.

However, he noted that difficulties may arise in connection with the spread of the coronavirus.

Zelensky added that Kiev had proposed that the talks in video format.

On the morning of 16 April Ukraine exchanged prisoners with the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk people’s republics. Kiev gave the DNR 10 people back nine. The LC of Ukraine went 11 people in the opposite direction — seven.

In September, Russia and Ukraine exchanged prisoners by the formula “35 on 35”.
