Windows Notepad appeared in the Microsoft Store

In August 2019, Microsoft announced that the app store will be a universal version of Notepad. It will more quickly update the program and add new features.

Note that the Notebook was fast and simple text editor on Windows for over 30 years. But now it’s available to everyone in the Microsoft Store. Functionally it follows the classic version but it has new opportunities.

For example, there are improved search functions and replace content. Now the program remembers previously entered values, and status flags. This will allow you to automatically fill them as needed.

Also improved scaling of text. This can be done from the programs menu and using the hotkeys. Finally, there is the possibility of displaying row and column numbers, while the word wrap.
