A naked man attacked several people in a park in Switzerland and killed a jogger. According to police, the suspected perpetrator is a 19-year-old Swiss man.
As the police in the canton of Zurich announced on Wednesday, another person was slightly injured in the incident on Tuesday evening in Männedorf.
According to eyewitnesses, the 19-year-old suspect was screaming around in the park on Lake Zurich and attacking several people. Emergency services found a seriously injured woman. Despite resuscitation measures, she could not be saved. The suspected attacker – a Swiss citizen – was arrested on site.
The authorities did not initially provide any further information about the victim, the suspect or the attack. It has not yet been clarified whether the 19-year-old and the jogger knew each other, they said.
A week ago, a 43-year-old Spaniard randomly attacked six people in the Swiss municipality of Zofingen, in some cases seriously injuring them.
