Training camp without a coach for the time being: Coach Pellegrino Matarazzo missed the start of the VfB Stuttgart training camp in the Allgäu. The 44-year-old had a positive corona test result earlier in the week. According to the club, Matarazzo will travel as soon as possible to prepare his team for the new season.

Matarazzo’s VfB history: Matarazzo has been coaching VfB since December 2019. The US-Italian coach had previously acted as assistant coach at 1899 Hoffenheim.
