The head of the political Council of the Ukrainian party “the Opposition platform For life” Viktor Medvedchuk demanded from the authorities to resume the importation of scientific literature from Russia. This is stated in the petition posted on the website of the party.
According to him, according to the representatives of the publishing market, in 2020 to Ukraine has not imported any copies of the book from Russia, which “was and remains the main provider of specialized scientific publications”.
Medvedchuk said that in 2019, was issued a license to import six or seven thousand titles of books from Russia, but at the end of last year, the results stopped. Thus, the arrival to Ukraine of the special literature was blocked.
The politician noted that “the doers of obscurantism” is more like a realization of the Nazi plan “OST” concerning Ukraine, which provides for the colonization of Ukrainian, depriving them of access to education, science and culture.
In June the Minister of culture and information policy Oleksandr Tkachenko spoke against the ban of films with Russian actors who were denied entry into the country. He also urged to make transparent and understandable the process of making the “black lists” of people who are denied entry to Ukraine.
