the US President Donald trump once again stated his desire to invite Russian leader Vladimir Putin to the G7 summit. He told about it to journalists at a press conference in the White house.

“I certainly would have invited him to a meeting. I think he’s an important character,” said trump. According to him, the summit of the group of seven can participate the leaders and those countries that are not included in the G7. Some of them have already accepted the invitation, said trump, without specifying, about whom exactly there is a speech. However, he then noted that official invitations have not been sent.

as for the time of holding such meeting, the American leader expects that it will take place after the presidential elections in the United States. “We were going to do it in September, it could be a teleconference or a personal meeting, but I now propose to do that sometime after the election, when it will be a little bit of time to think about it, the G7 is very important,” said trump. In his opinion, after the elections, will develop a more suitable atmosphere for the summit of the G7.

Earlier, the President, trump said that he carries a meeting “the Big seven” in September and wants to invite an additional four countries: Russia, India, Australia and the Republic of Korea. According to him, the presence of Russia in the G7 requires common sense.
