A dog sitter in England has been attacked and killed by at least one of her charges. The 28-year-old was out and about with several dogs in Caterham, south of London, police said. A second woman, who has no connection to the fatality, was slightly injured.

In total, the officers picked up eight dogs at the popular Gravelly Hill destination. It is not about prohibited dog breeds, the owners of the animals have been informed. It was still unclear whether the woman was attacked by one or more dogs on Thursday afternoon.

How many dogs a dog sitter is allowed to walk at the same time is decided by the individual municipalities. It is recommended that there are no more than four animals at a time, with one leading insurer accepting up to six dogs.

In a total of 14 districts in three federal states, the German weather service warns with the red alert. At the moment it is still unusually warm. But next week it should finally snow significantly – at least in the mountains.
