The founder of Tinkoff Bank, Oleg Tinkov, deleted a post on social networks about his renunciation of Russian citizenship. This is reported by RIA Novosti.

Recall that on October 31, on Instagram (banned in Russia and recognized as extremist), the entrepreneur said that he had renounced his citizenship of the Russian Federation. He accompanied the publication with a corresponding certificate.

The businessman explained his decision by disagreement with the policy of the Russian authorities, including the conduct of a special military operation in Ukraine. At the same time, Tinkov said that he considers himself a patriot and a “real hero” of Russia.

Tinkov with the words “I am a hero of Russia” refused citizenship of the Russian Federation

It should be noted that in the spring Tinkov condemned Moscow’s actions in Ukraine, and at the end of April he sold his 35 percent stake in TCS Group to Vladimir Potanin’s Interros investment company. After that, the businessman said that he had no property left in Russia and he was no longer a “rider” here.
