the Committee of the Senate of the United States armed forces during a private meeting approved an amendment to the draft defence budget for the next fiscal year, which will reduce the time needed to conduct a nuclear test.

This information on Monday circulated newspaper The Hill. According to her, the initiative proposed by Republican Senator Tom Cotton will provide $ 10 million for “implementation of projects related to the reduction of time which is necessary for carrying out nuclear tests if necessary”, quoted by TASS.

However, the head of the American Association for arms control Daryl Kimball called the idea of conducting a nuclear test “foolhardy”. He stressed that this will provoke a new nuclear arms race, in which everyone will lose out.
