“Technological characteristics are that the taken genes of the virus and inserted into vector DNA-based. The interesting thing is that this vaccine is non-infectious. This is its advantage compared to, for example, with a killed virus. Such vaccines have side effects. DNA vaccine is very safe, it synthesizes in the body those proteins that are put in there, and they developed immunity. We have already decided which genes should be used for a vaccine in which the vector to insert”, — said Kozlov.
According to the scientist, within a few months, the vaccine will be tested on animals during preclinical trials and then in clinical trials on volunteers.
