The Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia Kirill has suspended Archpriest Vladimir Chuvikin from the administration of the Patriarchal metochion of the Nikolo-Perervinsky monastery of the capital due to violations of the order of worship in the Holy and Bright week. Even before the Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia Kirill issued a decree “On liability for failure to comply with guidelines aimed at limiting the spread of coronavirus infections.” It emphasizes that if the failure to comply with the orders of the hierarchy will entail infection with coronavirus and subsequent death, the perpetrator can be brought to Church court, and in some cases – to the Church-administrative responsibility “with deliberate disregard of measures to protect people from mass infection with a deadly disease.”

the Moscow Patriarchate at the request of the chief sanitary doctor of the capital ordered the clergy of Moscow and Moscow region on April 13 to hold services without the participation of the congregation.
