Affordable and adorable: We challenged ourselves to find Quebec properties for sale under $500,000, but with a little something that makes the difference.

This isn’t the first time a home in Sainte-Adèle has caught the eye, and this particularly bright one really does well in the sub-$500,000 market segment. Seen from the outside, this L-shaped house with two wings connected by a double balcony well deserves the epithet “coquette”. Inside, it hides its age very well (its construction dates back to 1977) with spaces focusing on white and light wood, allowing a beautiful circulation of light on both floors. Special mentions for the very contemporary glass banister and the semi-circular boudoir. Note also the so-called “inverted plan” layout, i.e. the bedrooms, two in number, are located on the ground floor, while the common areas (i.e. the living room, the dining room dining room and the kitchen, all open plan) have been fitted upstairs.

Let the photographs speak for themselves, simply supplementing with these not uninteresting assets: the basement converted into a living room that can be converted into a third bedroom; the rear terrace covered with a pergola showing itself to be full of summer promise; the spacious garage, the pretty shed where the current owners have erected a small room imbued with conviviality. A word that seems to suit, moreover, the whole property.
