the Kremlin insisted that the accusations against the former journalist, “Kommersant”, the adviser of the head of “Roskosmos” Ivan Safronov are not linked to his work as a journalist the journalists said Dmitry Peskov.

Earlier, the lawyers of the detainees reported that Safronov was trying to persuade him to plea bargain, offering to open their journalistic sources.

“According to our information, the accusations against him are not connected with journalistic work”, – said Peskov. He said he cannot share the feeling that the investigation is trying to misinform the Kremlin and the public.

According to Peskov, in connection with the statements of the lawyers Vladimir Putin is unlikely to request additional information about this case. “Even on such sensitive subjects may not be aware of for all steps of the investigation,” he said.
