the IOC Executive Board will be held on may 14 and will be held online. On the agenda of many topics: politics of anti-doping, the Olympic games in Tokyo, the place athletes in the modern Olympic movement. But the most unusual item of almost a dozen is whether or not the 136 th session of the IOC in an online format.

If the Executive Committee so decides, the session will be held July 17, 2020. The session, as reported in the official communiqué of the IOC, will be protected by the system.

This is a workaround due to the fact that “in view of the postponement of the Olympic games in Tokyo and the measures taken in Switzerland (the headquarters of the IOC is located in Lausanne – Prim Ed.) and around the world, the goal is to reduce the spread of coronavirus”.
