Russian energy Minister Alexander Novak admitted the possibility of postponement of the OPEC meeting+ scheduled for early March, at an earlier date.
In comments to journalists on Tuesday, February 4, Minister of energy of the Russian Federation stated that the decision can be made after the current assessment of the situation. Alexander Novak noted that the oil market is now “a lot of uncertainty, perhaps it is such panic fears.”
Novak also stressed that Russia “is in constant contact” with OPEC+, and monitors the impact of the decline in economic activity on oil demand.
