The announcement of individual sanctions against 25 citizens of the Russian Federation, whom London considers implicated in violation of human rights is an unfriendly step, causing outrage. About it the correspondent of TASS reported on Monday the representative of the Russian Embassy in the UK, warning that Moscow reserves the right to take retaliatory action.
Britain imposed sanctions against Bastrykin
"Special indignation causes the inclusion in the sanctions list of the executives of the Prosecutor General and the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, as well as judges. In Russia the investigation, the prosecution and the court operate on the basis of independence from the Executive branch and subject only to the law," the diplomat said.
"the Russian side reserves the right to take retaliatory steps in connection with the unfriendly Britain’s decision," he stressed.
