Two actors have died while filming the Netflix series The Chosen One. The crew van was involved in an accident. Six other people were injured.
Tragic accident during the shooting of the Netflix series “The Chosen One” (Original: “The Chosen One”) in Mexico: Two actors died in a serious car accident and six other crew members were injured. Among other things, the “Los Angeles Times” reported.
The accident happened on Thursday. The van and its crew strayed off a desert road and overturned several times. The crew had apparently been working near Santa Rosalia at the time.
The Baja California Department of Culture confirmed to the AP news agency on Friday that the dead were Raymundo Garduño Cruz and Juan Francisco González Aguilar.
Filming has been temporarily halted. The Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) is investigating the case. It is still unclear whether and how the series will continue.
The Chosen One is set to be about a 12-year-old boy who realizes he is the return of Jesus and must save mankind. The story is based on the comic books by Mark Millar and Peter Gross.
