Residents of the Chechen Republic, supporting the head of the region Ramzan Kadyrov, after the introduction against him of the restrictive measures of the USA, consider yourself included in the sanctions list. This was stated by Kadyrov himself in the program "Lead" on channel "Russia-1" on Sunday.
"Those who see me, say to me: "If you and your family in the [sanctions] list, the [US], that we also in this list". They say that Chechens are scared of Kadyrov. Never in my life we cannot be intimidated and force," he said.
The head of Chechnya said that the United States can continue to impose sanctions against it.
"I ask them to every day a thousand sanctions up against me…If things let up", – said Kadyrov.
In Chechnya, held a flashmob in social networks "We are family Kadyrov" and its support in different districts of the Republic.
The US state Department on 20 July announced the introduction of visa sanctions against Kadyrov. They are applied in accordance with the law providing for the prohibition of entry into the U.S. for foreigners, which us officials believe is involved in corruption and human rights violations. In addition to the head of Chechnya, the limitations apply to his wife Medni Kadyrov, as well as the daughters Aishat, Khadizhat. Kadyrov this week first invited to Chechnya by U.S. Secretary of state Michael Pompeo, and then announced the sanctions against him and was denied entry into the country.
