Today, the abolition of isolation for persons who have been in contact with infected COVID-19 has come into force in Russia. This is stated in the relevant resolution of the chief state sanitary doctor of Russia Anna Popova, published on the Internet portal of legal information, RIA Novosti writes.

It is clarified that the decision of Rospotrebnadzor on the abolition of quarantine for persons who have come into contact with patients with coronavirus comes into force the day after the publication of the relevant information.

As indicated in the resolution, if a person is currently in isolation due to contact with an infected COVID-19, then the cancellation also applies to him.

Earlier, the head of Rospotrebnadzor, Anna Popova, said that quarantine for people who have come into contact with the infected strain of omicron does not make sense, since the disease is asymptomatic with omicron.

In addition, new rules for the discharge of patients with COVID-19 will come into force in Russia from February 6. If the patient has been treated for 7 days or more, then a negative coronavirus test will no longer be needed for his discharge. In the event that the patient’s treatment lasted less than a week, he needs to take a test and get a negative result.
