The Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on constitutional legislation Andrey Klishas explained the support of the Russians amendments to the Constitution that they meet the needs of society.

According to him, the main drivers that shape the demand for amendments is their social orientation, focus on the implementation of the request of the people in the state’s social policy.
"As we know, the amendments contain provisions concerning the political system, the implementation of the principle of the welfare state, legal system. All amendments were developed on the basis of real needs of society, taking into account the views of professional communities. The result we see a high level of support of the amendments by the people", – said the head of the Committee.
