The Russian carrier rocket “Soyuz-2.1 b” with communication satellites “Gonets-M” was launched from Plesetsk. On Thursday, December 3, reports TASS with reference to the Department of information and mass communications of the Russian defense Ministry.
The rocket was launched at 04:14 Moscow time from the launcher № 3 site No. 43 State test cosmodrome Ministry of defense (Plesetsk cosmodrome) in the Arkhangelsk region.
“Combat crews of the Space forces, aerospace defence forces carried out start of the carrier rocket "Soyuz-2.1 b" with a block of spacecraft of low-orbit commercial satellite communication systems "Gonets-M" and spacecraft in the interests of the defense Ministry of Russia”, — said the Agency.
Space head part, which includes the upper stage “Fregat”, satellites "Gonets-M" and the unit in the interests of defence, separated from the third stage of the rocket at 04:24 Moscow time.
On the night of 2 December, the Russian carrier rocket “Soyuz” with the satellite UAE Falcon Eye was successfully launched from Kourou (French Guiana).
