Vice-mayor of Novorossiysk Ekaterina Demchenko left the post because of violation of the regime of self-isolation. This was written by the mayor of the city Igor Dyachenko on his page in Instagram.

Demchenko will be fired for breaking the current in the Kuban quarantine.

“the News about inappropriate conduct of a municipal employee that has today released some news pages on the Internet, requires no comment. The decision principled, radical and unambiguous: Deputy Ekaterina Demchenko leaving his post. Municipal officials represent the overall power of the city. They should not tolerate behaviour which undermines the authority of the government. No room for error,” wrote the head of Novorossiysk.

Earlier may 11, Novorossiysk journalists found a video with local officials, who staged a barbecue at the recreation center near Abrau Durso, in violation of the regime of self-isolation. The entry also was published in the Telegram-channel Hue.

The authorities of Krasnodar region has decided to extend the quarantine until may 23. According to the latest data, the total number of people infected with coronavirus in Kuban exceeded two thousand. Since the epidemic began, 22 people died, 628 were cured. Over the past day in the region has recorded 98 cases of infection.

May 11, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that since may 12, a single period of days off is completed. He stressed that the way out of the limitations will not be quick.
