According to Rolf Mützenich, the SPD faction leader, the SPD would like to create comparable relief for users of oil and pellet heating systems, such as the waiver of gas advance payments in December. “We would like to include this heat supply in the relief,” said Mützenich the editorial network Germany (RND).
Regarding the timetable for the political decision, he said: “It is still feasible that in December the advance payments for heat deliveries will be waived.” When asked whether, in view of the energy crisis, he would like further help as a financial bridge to the planned gas price brake in March can imagine, said Mützenich: “We will check whether there is more possible.”
The most important instrument is the price cap on 80 percent of gas deliveries from March. It could still be very cold until April.
