Eintracht Frankfurt’s European Cup triumph was just under a week ago – and the first departures from the Hessians are already becoming known.
Goalscorer leaves: Eintracht are already busy shaping their Champions League squad for next season. The first SBU departure is called Sam Lammers. The center forward switched to the European Cup winners on loan from Atalanta Bergamo last season and started the successful Eintracht Europa League season with his goal. Now he is returning to Italy.
And three more: There are also the departures of Danny da Costa and Aymen Barkok. The two will leave the club for FSV Mainz 05. Stefan Ilsanker’s expiring contract will not be extended either. The Austrian switched from RB Leipzig to SGE two years ago, in Frankfurt he only scored three goals in 61 competitive appearances.
