The boundaries of the European countries can remain closed to Russians in the summer holidays because of the situation with COVID-19. This opinion was expressed by Russian President Vladimir Putin at the meeting with General Director of “Aeroflot” Vitaly Saveliev.
“yet They can not understand. And it is not clear when they [the European countries] will open its borders and territory to third country nationals, including Russian citizens, even in the summer holidays”, — explained the President.
Putin called the air transportation is one of the most affected sectors of the economy. He said that the timing of the opening of the borders for other countries is still unknown. The forecast can be done even on the summer holidays, said the head of state. This also applies to Russia and other countries.
In may, the Federal air transport Agency reported a fall in passenger traffic by 93%. It happened because of the coronavirus pandemic, explains the Ministry.
