Russian President Vladimir Putin has made changes in the Disciplinary regulations of the Armed forces of Russia, forbidding military personnel to provide details about his service in the media and social networks and carry gadgets during combat operations, exercises or outfits.

This is stated in the presidential decree published on the official Internet portal of legal information.

The amendments provide that a gross disciplinary misconduct including will be considered a violation of the prohibition to provide journalists with information about military service.

In addition, such misconduct will be considered to be wearing military phones and other gadgets that can store or transmit information, during hostilities, of being in costumes, participate in maneuvers or campaigns of the ships.

At the end of March, the President signed a decree on the spring conscription from 1 April.
