Pushkov commented on declassified CIA documents on Bandera

the Chairman of the Federation Council Commission on information policy Alexei Pushkov commented on the publication of CIA archival documents about the activities of Stepan Bandera.

Pushkov said that the glorification of Bandera can turn Ukraine into a “pariah”.

“At the same time, Ukraine’s foreign Ministry insists that each country “has the right to its heroes”. Not if we are talking about the companions of the Nazis. Kiev time to understand that with such “heroes” of Ukraine can only be a pariah,” wrote Pushkov in Twitter.

Earlier, the CIA issued a report titled “Stepan Bandera and the Ukrainian state in 1941”. It refers to the crimes committed by the Ukrainian nationalists, as Bandera is called an agent of Hitler. The material was clarified that for the five weeks of his “government” was destroyed five thousand of the Ukrainians, 15 thousand Jews and thousands of poles.
