the Russian Senator Alexey Pushkov appreciated the statement of the British foreign office about Vladimir Putin’s words about commitment to the terms “mom” and “dad.”

He was in his Twitter said that the pathos of the statement of the Ministry was “not entirely clear”. The Senator stressed that if Britain want to call parents “one or two” or to have children without sex, that is their own business.

“We do not force them anything. But alien concepts will not accept,” concluded Pushkov.

the British foreign office, commenting on the statement by the Russian leader urged the community to fight discrimination of sexual relations, adding that he is proud of the legalization of same-sex relationships in the United Kingdom.

Earlier, the President of the Russian Federation stressed that, while he remains the head of state, the country did not have the concept of “parent № 1” and “parent № 2”. He said he believes the right to fix the concept of marriage as the Union of a man and woman. Meanwhile, Putin urged to be careful with the concept of the family.

the Russian President has already spoken on this subject. He expressed the hope that Russia will never replace the word “mother” on the concept of “parent № 1” and “parent number 2”, as happened in some countries.

the Speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko also expressed anger about such definitions. The head of the Federation Council Committee on constitutional legislation and state construction, co-chair of the working group on preparation of proposals on amendments to the Constitution Andrei Klishas supported the introduction paragraph on the protection of traditional forms of marriage in the Constitution of the Russian Federation.
