Since December, La Buvette Pompette has occupied the premises on rue Saint-Zotique, formerly home to the Beaufort Bistro, which has moved nearby to Plaza Saint-Hubert. It fully fulfills its “neighborhood” vocation. It is without reservation, so we drop by unexpectedly for an aperitif or we stretch out the end of the evening. We like his menu with wines that are as adventurous as they are straightforward and that change frequently – one of the eight co-owners (!) owns the Ward wine agency

We devour the croquetas of the moment or a portobello divinely served between manchego and a pea sauce with croutons, arugula and caramelized onions. “It’s unpretentious,” says one of the co-owners, Ariane Paradis, but we have to praise the tasty details of the small, very affordable dishes on the menu.

“There is really a great response from the neighborhood, rejoices the latter. It is often full and we have regulars. There is the spirit of a small warm place with the atmosphere that we wanted to reproduce. »

It should be noted that the Buvette Pompette is open every day, the kitchen closes at 1 a.m. and it has recently been serving brunches on Sundays with cocktails, alcoholic coffees or even a non-alcoholic Spritz. OK !
